Now In Ohio
The Freedom Foundation is an out-of-state, anti-worker group with offices based out of Washington, Oregon, and California.
They have now moved into Ohio and are targeting workers with misleading ads, information and lies.
They have been spotted with flyers and brochures in Columbus, sent letters to public employees, and they’ve bought billboards all with one purpose: to target hardworking Ohioans and try to them into giving up hard-earned benefits and wages.
Mining Your Data
The Freedom Foundation has made public records requests for personal and private information about public employees. Why? So they can target hardworking Ohioans with misleading information and attempt to strip them of their rights at work.
Koch Brother Funded
The Freedom Foundation is part of the State Policy Network, a group of anti-worker organizations across the country funded by the Koch family and with strong ties to ALEC. They can’t be trusted.
Anti-Union
The Freedom Foundation is working to bust unions and hurt working people. They haven’t been coy about it either. For years, they have been boasting about their efforts to break up unions and weaken the rights and power of workers.
“Three years ago we started thinking about this plan for public sector unions, going out and defunding the opposition, and trying to weaken them so we can get people elected that love freedom.” Scott Roberts, Freedom Foundation Director.
Fought SB5 This is New Fight
Back in 2011, Ohioans from all walks of life stood together and fought back against Senate Bill 5, a bill that would have stripped workers of their collective bargaining rights. We fought back, and we won.
The Freedom Foundation is our new fight. We can’t let them come into our state and dismantle the unions that Ohio workers have fought to protect.
They’ve conducted attacks on unions in other parts of the country, and unfortunately they’ve seen success. We won’t let that happen in Ohio.
