Today marks a huge milestone. Five years ago today, Senate Bill 5 was introduced. This attack on working Ohioans would have stripped firefighters, nurses, teachers, police officers and other public employees of their right to collectively bargain.
But we came together. We fought back. We vetoed SB 5. And we’re still here.
To mark this day, we launched our new and improved website – Welcome!
Despite our resounding victory over SB 5, attacks on working Ohioans haven’t stopped, including the looming threat of “Right to Work” is wrong. So we encourage you to stay involved and active in our fight.
The first way you can be a part of our movement is to take a stand. On this new site, we are highlighting the many diverse people – like you – who are on our side.
Would you be willing to be featured on our website? If so, go to http://weareohio.com/get- involved/, select a category that best represents you and fill out our survey.
The second thing you can do is get engaged with our robust online community. Like us onFacebook and follow us on Twitter.
The final step is to share our message with friends, family and co-workers! Email our new site. Share our posts on Facebook. Retweet. We’re stronger together.
