... workers lose the ability to be guaranteed a voice at the table when decisions are made about their workplace.

I am a registered nurse in a large academic medical center. I went into nursing 20 years ago with the goal of being an advocate for people when they are vulnerable. I strive every shift to be the strong voice, a helping hand, a comforting shoulder to my patients, family members and fellow staff.

I am an informed voter. I sit on a legislative council that keeps an eye on what is happening at the Statehouse. I hold both a commission seat and board seat at the Ohio Nurses Association.

Without strong unions, workers lose the ability to be guaranteed a voice at the table when decisions are made about their workplace. Decisions that directly affect the front-line workers. Decisions that affect how we care for the public.
