Have you taken 1 minute out of your day to send an email to your lawmakers asking them to say NO to overriding the vetos that will protect Ohio taxpayers and our community?
If not, please consider sending an email now.
Some anti-worker politicians in Columbus are once again attacking our local communities.
Legislative leaders are calling lawmakers back to Columbus from their summer break to try to override vetoes in the state budget.
These vetoes protected local taxpayers and preserved vital public services and it is critically important that lawmakers don’t override the vetoes.
What is at stake?
Higher taxes for you, fewer local public services.
When was the last time anti-worker politicians in Columbus did anything to help the hard working person in Ohio?
What else is at stake?
The number of teachers in your local public schools for your children? Reduced.
Call time for police and firefighters and EMTs to respond to crimes and emergencies? Extended, delayed.
Nurses on the job, taking care of our sick and elderly? They can’t help you and your loved ones if they lose their jobs.
We need you.
Send a simple, straight-forward don’t mess with working people message to lawmakers.
Tell them to protect community services and local taxpayers.
Tell them don’t overreach. Don’t override.
Tell them to vote no against overriding the vetoes.
Sincerely,
We Are Ohio
