The special election for special interests on August 8 will end majority rule as we know it in Ohio.

For over 100 years, Ohioans have had the power to go straight to the ballot and vote on the issues that matter most to us.

Issue 1 would raise the threshold for ballot initiatives from 50 percent+1, to a supermajority. This would mean that 40 percent of voters could block every initiative that the majority wants.

It permanently shreds our Constitution, ends majority rule in Ohio, and takes away our right to decide what happens here by undermining the sacred principle of “one person, one vote.”

We have to fight back and that means we need to join together and organize.

We will be having Urgent Community Meetings to Protect Majority Rule in Dayton on July 13, Youngstown on July 20, Toledo on July 27, and in Columbus in the last week of the campaign.

You will learn how you can fight back against Issue 1 and why it’s critical that we turn out and Vote No on Issue 1 on August 8.
