Secretary of State Frank LaRose is at it again, trying to purge voters from the rolls as we approach a critical election in Ohio.
We Are Ohio is a non-partisan, grass roots, citizen-driven coalition of working people in Ohio.
With your help, we have protected collective bargaining rights, and made sure Ohio did not become a right to work “is wrong” state.
Last August, you helped mount a campaign to protect one person one vote by rejecting a legislative scheme to undermine majority rule by raising the threshold to amending our Ohio Constitution to 60 percent.
You should feel good about the power of coming together and being stronger together.
At one time, labor in Ohio thought Frank LaRose was a friend and an ally, but LaRose is not.
He lied in 2011 as a state senator and told working people he was a no vote on Senate Bill 5, the unfair, unsafe law that would have harmed us all. The cowardly LaRose voted yes when his name was called on the Senate floor.
He turned against working people when he became Ohio Secretary of State. His job is to oversee our elections and to increase awareness and interest in voting.
Unfortunately, he has purged hundreds of thousands of Ohioans from the voting rolls and he does everything he can to suppress the vote in our state.
His latest move is to purge nearly 160,000 votes just less than three months before Election Day.
Go to this site to see if you are a registered voter or if LaRose has tried to remove your name.
Voting is our most fundamental right.
Voting is how we have protected collective bargaining rights, and majority rule in Ohio.
Voting gives us an opportunity in November to put citizens, not politicians, in charge of drawing congressional and state legislative maps in Ohio so we can have fair districts and fair elections.
Don’t let Frank LaRose hose voters.
Make sure you are registered to vote.
Sincerely,
We Are Ohio
